Blairwood Canine is located about 75 minutes from Chicago in Hebron, Indiana. Classes, private lessons, camps and special events are held at the 15-acre country retreat. The property includes a large pond, multiple training rings and a dock diving pool. Using practical positive training methods, Blairwood offers agility, obedience, puppy kindergarten and dock diving training for dogs and handlers at all levels.

Phyllis Biedron founded Blairwood Canine in 1996. Experienced in various canine sports such as agility, obedience, tracking, herding and dock diving, she has earned almost 100 U.S. and Canadian titles with numerous dogs. Phyllis has been voted one of the best agility instructors by the readers of "Chicagoland Tails" magazine and served as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator for the American Kennel Club. Her expertise led to on-location dog handling for a national commercial and a television pilot for FOX.

Supportive of the canine community, Phyllis has been a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the Dog Advisory Work Group. Blairwood Canine has given agility demonstrations for shelters and fundraisers as well as presentations about how children can interact safely with dogs. She regularly attends continuing education seminars and camps with internationally acclaimed instructors.

In addition to her training accomplishments, Phyllis has bred sound German Shepherd Dogs and Border Collies. She has also opened her home and heart to three abused and neglected dogs and made them members of the Biedron family.
